The award-winning Young People's Chorus of New York City has a limited number of openings avaliable in all five divisions. Auditions to recruit new members will take place throughout the year at the 92nd Street Y, 1395 Lexington Avenue. No prior music education is necessary for boys and girls from 8 to 18 and young adults 18-26 who wish to audition.

The audition process for the youth chorus is simple: candidates may sing a song of their choice or "Happy Birthday" and be able to sing basic music patterns. For more information about the audition process please call the Chorus at (212) 289-7779. You may also email us at audition@ypc.org.

Those accepted to participate in this challenging and exciting activity will receive voice training and develop performance and sight-singing skills. Those in performance divisions will have the opportunity to sing in some of the most important concert halls in North America and Europe, with professional symphony orchestras and with some of today's top artists.

Auditions are by appointment only.
Participation in the Young Men's Honor Chorus and Young Women's Honor Chorus does not require an audition.
