The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) is a transcending multicultural film festival that celebrates diversity and inclusion through the power of film. TINFF provides a creative space for Canadian and international filmmakers to showcase their work, fostering a vibrant community of creativity and cultural exchange.

As an approved Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (Canadian Screen Award) qualifying festival, TINFF is dedicated to recognizing and honoring outstanding cinematic achievements. The 2024 updated qualifying festival list on the Academy website proudly includes TINFF, solidifying its position as a prestigious platform for filmmakers.

We are thrilled to announce that YPC’s documentary film has been selected to be screened at TINFF. YPC has received nominations for Best International Documentary, Best Female Filmmaker, and Best Music Theme Film, showcasing the talent and creativity of the team behind this remarkable project.

This Time Round explores the many facets of the extended COVID-19 pandemic’s intense emotional toll—fear, isolation, sadness and hopefulness—as experienced through the eyes of the young choristers and accomplished composers of YPC. This film features commissions from 15 of today’s renowned composers – including Paquito D’Rivera, Aneesa Folds, David Lang and Paola Prestini – and the voices of nearly 600 choristers who recorded themselves during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown.
