YPC Performs at the Petit Palau

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City performs at the Petit Palau

(October 7, 2025) –

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC), internationally recognized for its vocal quality and educational commitment, will perform on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Sala Petit Palau (Barcelona) as part of the La Casa de las Cantos series. The concert will feature the Palau Vindes Children’s and Youth Choirs, invited to open the evening.

Under the direction of its founder and artistic director, Francisco J. Núñez and creative director, Elizabeth Núñez, YPC brings together more than two thousand young people from all New York City boroughs and promotes social inclusion through music education. Its repertoire, which ranges from classical to jazz, pop, and contemporary creations, includes numerous commissioned works from emerging and established composers.

In their performance at the Petit Palau, the choir will offer an eclectic program featuring original works and arrangements of popular songs. Among them is Aldapeko, a traditional Basque song, which they will perform alongside the choirs of the Palau Vincles project, an educational and social initiative of the Palau de la Música Catalana.

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City was praised by The New York Times for its “virtuosity and sonic brilliance” and has performed on major stages in the United States and abroad, establishing itself as a benchmark in contemporary choral education.
