American Ballet Theatre’s “The Dream”

Young People’s Chorus of New York City joins American Ballet Theatre for performances of The Dream, bringing YPC’s young voices to one of the most enchanting works in the classical ballet repertoire.

Choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton and adapted from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Dream transports audiences into a magical world of fairies, mischievous spells, tangled romances, and ultimately, reconciliation. Set to Felix Mendelssohn’s celebrated score, the one-act ballet captures the humor, romance, and otherworldly beauty of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy.

YPC choristers provide live vocal accompaniment, adding an ethereal dimension to Mendelssohn’s music and continuing YPC’s artistic collaboration with American Ballet Theatre.
