Vocal Currents: Music in our Changing World

November 3 at 8:00 p.m. | Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center
Vocal Currents: Music in our Changing World reimagines and redefines today’s music by bringing YPC’s young singers together with composers to spark their visions and imaginations to create the music of tomorrow. Vocal Currents launches with Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez and Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Núñez conducting YPC in eight 2018 YPC commissions and a choral arrangement of a 2010 work.

The YPC Big Sing 30th Anniversary Celebration

September 22 at 3:00 p.m. | Peter Norton Symphony Space
Last month, hundreds of New Yorkers gathered at Symphony Space for a high-spirited community sing-along. Led by Francisco Núñez, Elizabeth Núñez, and YPC’s incredible guest conductors Rollo Dilworth and Mark Shapiro, audience members raised their voices to sing classics like “This Little Light of Mine,” “La Bamba,” and “Hey Jude.”

Previously Unreleased YPC Podcasts Now Available

Five previously unreleased podcasts of our most recent Radio Radiance commissions are now available for the first time. The podcasts, which were recorded live at SubCulture in NYC in April 2015, are created and hosted by WWFM’s David Osenberg. The first episode is available now with Caroline Mallonée and her compelling, but quirky, work about Google, entitled “Search.”

In subsequent weeks, the podcasts will feature Aaron Siegel’s “The Mysteries of Nothing,” Ryan Lott’s (aka Son Lux) “We Will Find Each Other,” Frank J. Oteri’s “Love Games,” and Samuel Adler’s “Fable of Fables.”
