Ahra Cho serves as an assistant conductor of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. There, she is the principal conductor of YPC at Goddard Riverside and YPC Prelude Division. She is also a conductor of YPC Schools Choruses program. Ahra participated in choir experiences throughout her childhood, beginning at age 10 when she joined the renowned World Vision Children’s Choir. She earned a master’s degree in Voice Performance from Roosevelt University with a minor in piano, and she holds a master’s degree in Choral Conducting at Illinois State University. While in Chicago, Ahra also studied choral conducting under the direction of Dr. Doreen Rao.
