Jiabao Guo

Conducting Fellow

Jiabao Guo is a choral conductor, music educator and pianist from China. He earned his Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from the Eastman School of Music in 2025, studying under Dr. William Weinert. He has led the Eastman Repertory Singers and served as the Music Director of the Chinese Music Ensemble of Rochester.

Jiabao earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. While there, he founded “Crescent,” an a cappella group that was named Beijing’s Best University Student Club. He was also the assistant conductor of the Music Education Department Choir. 

In 2020, he was awarded a national scholarship to study at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary, where he received a certification in the Kodály Teaching Concept.
